Institute of Newspaper Technology Announces Fall Class Lineup

We’re in the early stages of completing the schedule for the October 9-11 session of the Institute of Newspaper Technology. If all goes as planned, we’ll have attendees representing newspapers, universities and press associations from 20-30 states and several Canadian provinces. Classes are held at the University of Tennessee College of Communication and Information in Knoxville, Tennessee and include: A Full Day of Adobe Dreamweaver, From Scratch (Lynn Grillo, Instructor) Introduction to InDesign (Lisa Griffin, Instructor) Advanced InDesign (Kevin Slimp, Instructor) Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do in Creative Suite (Lynn Grillo, Instructor) Advanced QuarkXPress Tools (Jay Nelson, Instructor) Introduction to Adobe Illustrator (Lisa Griffin, Instructor) Advanced Photoshop for Newspapers (Karl Kuntz, Instructor) What’s New In The World of Graphic Design & Pagination? (Jay Nelson, Instructor) Full Day of Adobe Flash Training for Newspaper Websites (Kevin Slimp) Combining Pictures With Sound for Websites (Rob Heller) InCopy/InDesign Editorial Workflow (Kevin Slimp) Designing Ads Using The Latest Version of MultiAd Creator (Cathy Bandeko) Preflighting and Correcting Problem PDF Files (Kevin Slimp) Additional classes will be added in the next two weeks, along with the final schedule. The October 2007 session of the Institute filled in July, so now is the time to make plans to be in Knoxville, along with 90 of your closest friends, for what many consider to be the top training event in the newspaper industry.
